Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife (FKSW) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that assists rural communities in Kenya to improve the educational opportunities for their children and to promote the preservation of wild animals as a precious national resource.
FKSW was founded in 2002. We currently work with five communities to address the educational needs that they have identified. In each community, we are committed to: * Providing student scholarships * Providing materials and labor to build and maintain schools and classrooms * Providing educational materials and supplies * Supplementing teacher salaries in times of shortages * Supporting community development projects where they directly benefit the schools
FKSW also provides opportunities for participation and adventure through our Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife Safaris several times a year. These safaris combine work on the various projects in the villages with spectacular wildlife viewing in the parks and game preserves. It's an experience that just might change your life!
